Topic Options:
Select a particular company or industry. It may be where you work or a process you are interested
in. Describe how the production and/or inventory control system operates. Explain why this
system, make-to-stock for example, is used versus other types of systems. Included information
about the processes used, like automation, labor requirements, suppliers, customer base, etc.
Describe problem(s) associated with a particular production and/or inventory system at your place
of work or in a particular industry. Could be theft, labor shortages, lead times, supply chain issues,
or whatever else is impacting production or operations.
Select one of the topics covered in the course and provide a thorough description with a brief
literature review on the topic.

Requirements:
Use APA format, 1.5 line spacing and 12-point Arial of Times Roman font.
Don’t use a title page or abstract. Just put a title at the beginning of the document. Include your
name in a running header. Five pages minimum, no maximum, not counting figures and tables.
Heading should include; Introduction, Problem Statement (if applicable), brief Literature Review,
Discussion, and Conclusion. There could be other headings or subheadings depending on your
topic.
Use at least five references from other than the book. References should not be those found in the
book.
For references, you may want to use the University library databases or Google Scholar. Consider
the quality of the source. Use refereed journals or books.
