8. Other topics, contact professor for pre-approval
Your research paper should include these five aspects;
1. Definition and description of your topic
2. Application to the DeafBlind Community
3. Application to you; what was noteworthy?
4. How topic impacts DeafBlind individuals
5. How this knowledge is useful for SSP/CN and interpreters
If you are doing a book review, use these writing guidelines:

A rubric is available on myCourses that will be used to grade your research
paper.
The research paper should be double-spaced and be four to five pages long, and
the font must be in Arial or Helvetica with the font size of 12. Papers should be
saved as Microsoft Word or PDF. Each paper will need to be submitted on
myCourses in its respective folder on the due date and time indicated on the
course schedule.
According to RIT Academic Honesty Policy, the act of plagiarism will not be
tolerated. The instructor has the full right to assign the paper an “F” automatically.
