the project should include the following sections
Section 1: Executive Summary An abstract stating the aims/objectives of the project; the stages of analysis involved; the methodology used as well as the findings of the research. *The abstract is written upon completion of the project and describes what was done.
Section 2: Introduction An introduction with clearly stated title, topic, research aims and objectives and including the basic question, and problem identification (external consultant` approach). Also, it will include an explanation/ evaluation of the research/consulting approach adopted (methodology, sources of data). *Questionnaires or other research instruments need to be included in the Appendices section.
Section 3: Analysis of current situation in case of CP A company profile describing the company to be examined and the issues which will be addressed: industry, business unit or organizational part analyzed) Royal Dutch Shell *Current situation in the analyzed field, research in an organization setting, internal processes, management, market research, benchmark, etc. depends on the chosen topic and specialization.
Section 4: Literature review A literature review, discussing theoretical and/or empirical work (e.g. surveys/case studies) on similar issues as those examined in the project. This section is of maximum 5 pages (out of 40-50), and presents information only in relation to the analyzed subject, not too general and wide
Section 5: Research Methodology Research methods, qualitative/ quantitative, primary/secondary data, sampling techniques Section 6: Findings and analysis An analysis/discussion of the findings, i.e., critical analysis, discussion of the findings. *Detailed calculations, forms, sheets in appendices section.
Section 7: Proposals and recommendations A series of recommendations/action points based on the findings and appropriate for the situation/case/research in question. This section presents a realistic plan, including timing of correctional steps and processes (baselines), description of the procedure for every company level involved, project risk assessment when uncertainty, project implementation, team requirements and their responsibilities; and (when possible) Section 8: Project limitations Limitations faced during research (e.g. limited access to data/resources).
Section 9: Conclusions A conclusion based on the findings and recommendations and logically pertaining to the research question. Lessons learnt from the research conducted. References & bibliography A list of references used in the literature review section for in-text citation. Appendixes and annexes Appendices (if applicable) with primary data, research instruments, financial data etc.
