Nursing Informatics as an Emerging Health Job Role in Kuwait
Please consider nurse informaticists as an emerging job role that Kuwait’s Ministry of Health (MOH) is calling for applicant specialists. The role collaborates with other specialists to ensure successful health care. One way health care goals can be improved and made more efficient is by integrating emerging technologies with big data, in addition to various contributions.
Use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to compose and present a project proposal to the leadership of your healthcare organization, propose a nursing informatics project for your organization that you advocate to improve patient outcomes or patient-care efficiency. Your project proposal should include the items presented below following the rubric to be specified.
Total of 40 points distributed as follow:
5 points Research and review the role of nurse informatics and find a common definition. Use at least three references.
5 points Reflect on how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and data mining may help fortify nursing informatics as a specialty by leading to increased impact on patient outcomes or patient care efficiencies.
5 points Describe the project you propose and identify the stakeholders impacted by this project. Explain how improvement would occur by providing examples.
5 points Identify the technologies required to implement this project and explain why.
5 points Identify the project team (by roles) and explain how you would incorporate the nurse informaticist in the project team.
5 points Demonstrate your skills of using MS word, excel and power point to present your ideas. Your project proposal should include the use of pictures, tables, and graphs.
5 points Written Expression and Formatting – Paragraph Development and Organization: Paragraphs make clear points that support well developed ideas, flow logically, and demonstrate continuity of ideas. Formatting: In a 4- to 5-page in MS Word using size 12 Time New Roman font and single line spacing including pictures, tables, and graphs. Use APA or Harvard referencing format.
5 points Oral Expression and Presentation – The presentation flow is logical, and follows the flow of the written project documentation, correct English is spoken and audience intrest is achieved.
