The journal is medically based, written by Chris Alderman, and focuses on effective communication through the use of ethos, logos, and pathos. It also stresses the need for clear communication in the medical field, as a patient’s life depends on it. Alderman goes into specific detail of how each principle can be used and should be used when it comes to relating medical information between medical professions and relaying clear information to patients. This journal will be beneficial for this essay as it will provide explanations and further understanding for the way Peter Stark used ethos, logos, and pathos through his work. Additionally, this source will provide another lens to view Stark’s creative nonfiction because of the medical facts and terminology he uses through the story.
