In many cases, it is necessary to share this information in order to get care, pay for products or services, and use applications. However, based on the information we share, we could be ourselves interesting in a negative situation. If our data lands with the wrong people, we could be exposed to fraud, have our accounts compromised, and our identity, stolen. Companies should do a better job explaining what personal information is collected and what they do to protect it from falling into the wrong hands.
Rhetorical Context:
The data collected by companies, health care providers, and mobile apps can have various repercussions on users. Some of their repercussions are identity theft, fraud, compromised accounts, etc. The collected information might be useful to identify consumers, keep their records, and be used for analytical studies. However, the information that is saved can cause more harm than good. These negative repercussions not only harm the customer, but they can also harm the company if the information they collect is compromised. They are liable for the information that has been misused by them or by the third parties they have shared this information with.
Audience Analysis:
This matter will be of concern to customers and businesses alike. It can affect both in any case of information exposure. Consumers expect companies to protect their personal information. However, it is also the consumer’s responsibility to be aware of whom this information is being shared with and how these businesses are securing this data. Companies should have values that include the protection of their customers and employee’s information. Regarding customers, they should care and be aware of the data collected and how it is being used.

Other identification methods should be implemented to avoid the exposure of personal data collected by businesses, health care providers, and applications.
Reasons:
-Data collection can lead to identity theft, fraud, compromised accounts, and so on.
-Private data collection is not necessary to acquire products and services.
-Sharing private information on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter would automatically expose data with third-party entities.
-Sharing information with third parties could expand the likelihood of fraud. Furthermore, it would be hard to determine where the information has been compromised.
-Personal information is shared with advertisers that send unwanted information to our accounts.
Objection/ Rebuttal:
Some people argue that data collection is necessary and beneficial to help advertising companies keep records of people’s activities and preferences. However, the cost of data collection can range from unwanted advertisements to compromised accounts.
Solution:
The best solution applicable to this issue is to reduce the data that we share. We should give only the necessary and required information to acquire products and services. From mobile applications and business perspectives, they should only ask for information to identify individuals. If the information is shared with third parties, it should be sent as anonymous.
