To present comprehensive information about a topic in medical anthropology, while using the anthropological perspective, in a visual format.
Instructions
For your infographic, you will select one topic we read about this term and explore it through an anthropological perspective in an infographic. Infographics are a fun and excellent tool for providing comprehensive information in a concise and aesthetically pleasing format.
SAVE AND SUBMIT YOUR INFOGRAPHIC AS A PDF or A PPT file (do not submit jpegs or other images). If you submit it in the incorrect format, and I cannot open it, you will not receive credit for it (I cannot grade what I cannot see!).
You can use any program of your choice. Piktochart and Canva are two popular platforms that will allow you to create a free infographic. Please use a program that you feel most comfortable with and you feel will best serve your goals for this assignment. You must use our book as one source and two from peer reviewed anthropological /journals (not online websites unless you get approval for those at least ten days before this is due – by June 25, 2024).
Make sure your infographic is comprehensive yet concise – your reader should get a solid understanding of the topic through the lens of anthropology. Deciding what information to include and paring it down while keeping it comprehensive is the hard part! Arranging it all on an infographic and making it aesthetically pleasing is the fun part!
No direct quotations are allowed – at the end of a 300 level course, I expect you to be able to synthesize and paraphrase any content you have read for this project. Make sure you cite ALL sources in the text on your infographic and provided a reference list at the end (use APA). Not doing so is plagiarism and will be handled accordingly (neither of us wants this, so please avoid it) – as will the use of any AI technology.
