Read the “1984 and Philosophy” excerpt and summarize.
In order to receive full points for content, there are 3 components students must fulfill in the summary. First, you need to identify what you believe to be the thesis of the article. While the thesis you identify may be different from mine or your peer’s, so long as your evidence supports it, you will gain full points. Second, your summary should reference specific people, places, or events from the article. Finally, your summary should focus solely on the contents of the article. Any indication of bias or personal opinion will reduce points.

Stay within 250-500 words total, and use 12pt font
