1. Good Morning Class,
I can’t believe that we are already in week 8! I have attached my Bible story for your review. I found that creating a Bible storybook for children was an effective tool for improving my learning in a variety of ways. Storytelling allowed me to connect with the Bible’s rich storylines and lessons in a way that captures my imagination and helped with comprehension. Visual components such as pictures and vibrant imagery enhanced the storytelling experience and allowed me to engage with the people, events, and ideas of the Bible on a deeper level. The interactive element of a storybook allowed me to investigate the stories through a variety of activities, developing critical thinking and meaningful reflection. This practice was incredibly useful in breaking down complex concepts in the Bible so that the story made sense to children. At first, I was overwhelmed, but I saw it as an excellent opportunity to go deeper into the essence of what was being stated. For me, this was a lot of fun, and it allowed me to make something meaningful out of the readings. The most challenging thing for me was finding photographs that I wanted to use in the book!! I thought this was a great way to express my artistic side while also providing the facts required for this task.
In addition, I think that the Bible storybook is an excellent resource for character formation and moral education, since I had to sift through vital values and virtues from the examples provided in biblical accounts. Overall, producing a Bible storybook was a creative and effective way to introduce complex ideas regarding God’s eternal truths and transformative power, establishing the groundwork for spiritual growth and a lifelong enjoyment of learning about the Bible’s tales and teachings.
I was really happy with the outcome and can’t wait to see everyone’s final product!

3. We’ve reached our last week! Over the past eight weeks, I’ve learnt a great deal, and I genuinely enjoyed this class. This class has helped me with truly understanding the New Testament. I have to say that discovering how to deepen my faith and once again follow in God’s footsteps is one of the most significant lessons this course has given me. Coming from a background of not knowing anything about the bible, I can say this class has taught me about the bible but I will forever follow god’s footsteps. Because of this course, I have read the Bible more and have a much deeper comprehension. I will admit that I am proud of who I am and even more so of who I am becoming in the presence of God. I’ve learned so much from this bible study, and I feel like I’ve come a long way. As for my storybook I made for younger readers, who are just like me with no knowledge of God. We have an understanding of God’s strength when we believe in Him and obey His Word from the New Testament. I wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful discussions and hope everyone continues to grow their faith in God.
3. Hello Class, Happy week 8! We have made it to the last week for this course. I hope everyone has had a great week and weekend so far. How do you feel now that you have gained more knowledge about The New Testament from when you first started this course? My faith has grown dramatically, as I have mentioned in a past discussion post. My previous class was for The Old Testament and having these classes back to back has made my faith and trust in God stronger. As I grew up in a Christian household, over the years my faith, and trust slowly has been growing and having a better understanding of the Word of the Bible.”- And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” Mark 11:22-24. From the storybook, I have learned that Jesus came to us in person for a reason being that the people were not following how God wants the people to live. Jesus then had the disciples do missions such as Paul did to spread the gospel. I hope everyone will have a great last week of this course and future classes. God Bless.

Greetings Dr. Himes and Fellow Classmates!
Welcome to week eight! This session came and went in the blink of an eye. That is not to say that it has not been fruitful! My main takeaway from this course is that I am to keep my eye on Jesus in all that I do no matter the cost because if I steer away, I am at risk of spiritual and moral failure.
Most recently, I learned that fall (spiritual failure) is not always a sin. It can show up as being distracted or too busy with my daily life that I fail to devote time to studying the Word each day. God invites us to be with Him, so not only am I to keep my eye on Him at all costs, I need to devote time each day to be with Him in His Word.
Codrington discusses the fact that God’s story is also our story. It did not end in the Bible – the story is still open because we are continuing the story right alongside Him. Acts abruptly ends and that is because Luke wanted us to know that we are to continue with the story of spreading the Good News and partaking in the Kingdom here on Earth. Codrington goes on to ask a vital question – are we going to accept God’s invitation to make the Bible story of redemption our story? My answer is yes. I know that I fall sometimes and need redemption.
Another takeaway from this course is that I am no longer hiding my faith and that I am a Jesus-loving girl from anyone. I have been known to do that when I know that someone is anti-religion. I learned this session that I am not to fear and that the ultimate reward is the Kingdom, not others’ opinions or acceptance.
My conversations with God have changed over the last eight weeks. I imagine that it is the same for you too. I wish you many blessings as you continue your journey. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for your vulnerability with us all this session
