Purpose of the Assignment

The project focuses on your ability to apply sociological theory and concepts, demonstrate relevance to course content, and use academic, credible sources for support.
What to do to Complete this Assignment
For this assignment, you will create a video that demonstrates the application of sociological concepts to real-life experiences. The video mustinclude terminology from Lessons 1 – 3.
Below you will find acceptable video format options to help you complete the assignment.
PowerPoint: You can create a PowerPoint, then narrate and explain the topic (lecture/presentation style) (we need to see your face! Frame in Frame in the PowerPoint or a separate video with your narration. See Yuja for help with this.)
Song/Rap: You can create a song, a rap, etc., then perform it on video! In this option, you will need to make sure that you provide additional detail that explains the terms, concepts, and ideas covered. You still must meet the requirements and ideas in your video.
Poem: You may write a poem, recite it, illustrate it, and explain its significance. In this option, you will need to make sure that you provide additional detail that explains the terms, concepts, and ideas covered. You still must meet the requirements and ideas in your video.
Short Story: You may write a short story, narrate it, and illustrate it. In this option, you will need to make sure that you provide additional detail that explains the terms, concepts, and ideas covered. You still must meet the requirements and ideas in your video.
Comic: You may create a comic or another work of art then illustrate and narrate it, etc. In this option, you will need to make sure that you provide additional detail that explains the terms, concepts, and ideas covered. You still must meet the requirements and ideas in your video.
Puppet Show: You may write and enact a puppet show. In this option, you will need to make sure that you provide additional detail that explains the terms, concepts, and ideas covered. You still must meet the requirements and ideas in your video.

Explain how sociology is significant in your personal experience.
Explain how the sociological imagination helps you understand the impact of sociology in your own life.
Include definitions of the following: sociology, the sociological imagination and social forces (e.g., culture, social structure, socialization or social institutions).
Briefly explain the relationship between the individual and society.
Identify examples of either individual behaviors or personal experiences that carry significance at the microlevel.
Identify examples of either agents of socialization, large secondary groups or formal organizations that shape your individual behavior or personal experiences at the macrolevel .
