Purpose

Determine whether the concepts learned in the course thus far have been mastered. This paper relies on the critical thinking skills of analysis and interpretation as well as the ability to use different critical tools.
Assignment
Analyze V for Vendetta and one intertext using a psychoanalytic lens.
*You can (and should) use your ESKs as a starting point for this essay.*
Essay Requirements
This essay needs to have
A strong, arguable thesis that does not merely re-hash the plot of the text (i.e., you in some way make the topic your own);
Background information on your chosen topic so that your readers are educated on what you are addressing (this will include a brief discussion of your chosen theory, a definition of pertinent terms, and a discussion of why this theory is being used);
Enough arguments (or reasons) to more than adequately support your thesis;
Evidence (specific examples for each point you bring up) to prove your thesis that is properly formatted as a direct quote, paraphrase, or summary and ethically cited;
Explanations of your evidence which show clear, logical connections between your thesis, reasons, and evidence;
One counterargument that is supported by evidence and addressed objectively;
At least two primary and one secondary sources; your secondary source should be scholarly.
And an answer to the question “so what?”—what do your readers gain from reading your essay? why should they care?
Formatting Requirements
All essays must be in proper MLA or APA format (make use of OWL at Purdue if you need help with MLA or APA) and be 2.5-3 pages long. Additionally, all essays need an engaging title (not Essay #1), 1” margins, a works cited page, and be in Times New Roman font size 12.
my teacher has us use the two primary sources as interconnection to answer her prompt with the secondary source supporting the primary sources. if you have any question about that let me know.
