Development changes rapidly in the first two years of life. Rates of development can vary due to a variety of factors. The factors that influence this development can include biological and environmental factors. Along with these developmental changes, safety is a critical issue.
Your essay should include each of the following:
– Introduction
Provide an explanation of how development in the first two years changes rapidly and how this rate of development can vary in children due to environmental and biological factors. Due to this rapid change, address how safety should be a priority for parents.
– First paragraph
Discuss at least three specific examples of how biological factors influence development.
– Second paragraph
Discuss at least three specific examples of how environmental factors influence development.
– Third paragraph
Discuss at least three developmental and environmental factors associated with the safety of young children.
– Fourth paragraph
Identify two to four safety measures that parents should be aware of for each developmental stage (infants and toddlers).
– Conclusion
Explain how, as an early childhood provider, you would share with parents about these factors that can impact development rates in the first two years and these safety suggestions.
