Hello Class,
A major component of this course is the Course project.
Find attached here is a list of topics for the (1) Term paper and (2) Presentation as assigned to each student.
This project is an individual project.
Grade for the Term paper will go towards the lecture part of the BIOL 2211K course.
A minimum of between 10 pages – ‘double’ spaced, 12 points font size and Arial or Times New Roman font type. Add an extra page(s) for your work cited (making it a total of 11+ pages). All of these do not include the cover pager per APA formating.
2. Page margins should be 1 inch on the top, bottom, left, and right page sides Paper should be typewritten (no handwriting whatsoever).
3. Proper citation of references must be used (cite all your references consulted). I discourage citing websites like Wikipedia or blogs etc. Look for papers and publications from trusted sources. I like to see reputable publication citations from refereed journals. For most of your topics, you can be comfortable with using publications found on PUBMED (google ‘PubMed and you will be good to go!).
4. Organize your thoughts with a focus on the topic. Make sure to utilize the journal pink under your topic, to start off your narrative. This will help a lot.
5. Wikipedia references (work cited) will not be allowed. You stand to lose points with Wikipedia references.
6. To help you start off on the project, I have included a link to a publication related to your topic in the topic list.
7. I expect that from here, you will properly scheme your research and write-up, and use many other relevant references that will make your work great!
8. Use APA paragraphing and citation methods. PLEASE NOTE very well.
