Slide Content Instructions
Slide 1: Title Slide
The title of your presentation is: Trademark and Patent
Include other information on the title slide – your name, course, school, date, etc. A sample Title Slide is attached to this assignment.
Slide 2: one sentence in your own words with key points of the purpose of intellectual property.
Slide 3: 2 sentences max in your own words that explain purpose & definition of trademark
Slide 4: Illustration example of a real-life registered trademark
Image of the TM presented on the slide, with its name and the URL link where you found it. Remember to include its “R” symbol with it.
SPEAKER’s NOTES section of this slide – Identify the company who is using this TM. Explain how this TM illustrates (fits) the definition of a TM. Describe how you believe this TM identifies and benefits the company.
Slide 5: On slide, list at least 3 or 4 short key bullet points that cover definition, purpose , benefit of a patent; include “innovation”
SPEAKER’S NOTES section of this slide – Narrative generally explaining the definition, value and purpose of a to a business and society – in your own words; include how long a patent lasts
Slide 6: 5 requirements of a patent
List the requirements under heading “Requirements of a Patent” – Do not include the definitions; these go in your Speaker’s Notes below the slide.
SPEAKER’S NOTES section of this slide – Explain each requirement of a patent listed on the slide in your own words.
Slide 7: References slide – citations in APA7 format
List 4 credible references to support what you have presented about TM and patent; including the image source here for the TM example you presented. References must be alphabetically listed in APA7 citation format. Hanging indent is not required for the PPT list, but the citations must be in APA7 format.
