OUTLINE
Rationale: Supporting the mental health and well-being of our young people is at the forefront of Child and Youth Care and can be applied to any setting and any age group. Whether a formal or known diagnosis exists for a young person, providing education and interventions to support the knowledge and development of good mental health practices can benefit all young people.
Purpose: Your task will be to research and write about two strategies/practices that can be utilized to support the mental wellness of children and youth. Next, you will apply what you have learned to a specific population/disorder to create and deliver a psychoeducational-based intervention.

Research and discuss two distinct wellness practices specific to mental health for young people
Include in your paper:

An introduction outlining the purpose of your paper
An in depth exploration of the two health and wellness practices
A summary of the benefit(s) and need(s) that the wellness practice supports
The developmental age(s)/stage(s) this practice is best suited to
An example of how a CYCP can utilize this practice to support young people with their symptoms or treatment of a disorder (choose a disorder from the ones being covered in the course – you can use the same disorder or a different disorder for each practice)
A conclusion summarizing the key points from your paper
