Please prepare a 7 – 8-page scholarly paper in which performance of cost effectiveness of new medical technology. Students must discuss these three areas: quality, cost, and access. The page count does not include the title page and references.
The focus must discuss performance in a defined within one of the aforementioned categories. Some suggested topics may be quality of care for chronically-ill elderly patients, cost-effectiveness of new medical technologies, or access to specialized care for low-income populations or illegal aliens. Many other topics in these three areas are also acceptable. (These ideas are simply to encourage students to ponder options. Please submit the area of concern, in which you will address, to the faculty by week 5 of the course.) Please include a congressional bill, the name and specific characteristics about the bill such as the sponsor, number of co-sponsors, sponsor’s and/or co-sponsor’s names (if from the student’s state of residence), date proposed, location in congress at the time this paper is due, and any brief summary of the bill.

Expectations and behavior of key stakeholders (consider all stakeholders relevant to the topic, such as providers, payers and consumers, communities, policy-makers, and/or other global implications
Needed improvements or reform to achieve performance gains, specifically by noting at least one law or policy and one delivery system reform for the chosen topic. E.) Legislative bill information to address this issue.
