I think having a whole community approach to strengthen my community is mainly knowing your neighbors. Knowing what kind of views they believe in and push through conversation. I think our citizens get complacent with what is happening in the world today or even just in our communities. Crime is going up in areas and people are coming into the country that do not want to do good things and be productive in our society. Threats as a whole for local, state, and national have heightened my awareness being I am a combat veteran will never leave me. I am more actively aware of my surroundings than the average citizen. We need to know our neighbors and work with them to know that we want to protect our community as a whole. I have 2 children, and I want to know that my neighborhood is safe for them to go out to play and not have to worry about bad things happening. Things do happen but working with our neighbors and the people within it will make me feel comfortable that I know all the good and bad that are within it. With others of like mind thinking the same that will look out for the same danger will make me more comfortable in knowing that danger will be stopped by more people with likeminded and safety from my neighborhood. If your community can come together to do things that have you and others willing to make sure to protect the community the better.
