  1. Conduct a search for recently published scientific article(s) on an epidemiology topic that interest you.

Below are some examples of topics and links to corresponding articles for that topic:

NOTE: Article must be published within the last 12 months.

You may decide you want to write a synopsis on more than one article related to your topic and that is ok.

Once you have identified a publication(s) write a brief synopsis (summary) of the article. You are welcome to run your paper idea by me before you start writing your synopsis.

  1. Some links you can use to find your article (note I used PubMed for the examples I gave above).
  1. Question to answer in your paper (Note: not all questions may apply to the paper you chose):

What type of analysis did they do?

What did the authors find? What were the results?

What are the limitations mentioned in the study. Any potential biases? What recommendations do you have to address these biases.

Did the authors have any recommendations for future research?

What are your recommendations based on what you read.
