Personal Leadership Profile
Overview
Create a profile of yourself to share with current leaders. Keep in mind that this profile is not only to reflect you as an individual and as a leader, but it should also synthesize leadership knowledge acquired in this course.
Directions:
Your profile should demonstrate how you could serve as an effective leader within the organization and include the following components:
Your leadership style
Your values and personality
Your abilities in motivating, communicating, team building, relationship-building, and innovation
Your strategy style
Your leadership vision
The paper should be 5-6 pages in length. The assignment should follow the standard guidelines for American Psychological Association (APA) formatting for paper organization and references and use Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1-inch margins, and double-spaced text.
Above this is the requirement for homework. In my case, my leadership tends towards strength and authority, I don’t like more collaboration, I prefer to lead a group of like-minded people on the path we want to take based on our ideas. In my opinion, the root of leadership is is to gain a sense of identity of ideas. I am a person who dares to venture out and embrace risks, and will give my best for my goals. I bought the restaurant I used to work at two years ago. I also take care of my peers or those who are willing to follow me in every way, which makes them do their best at work and we will be good friends and family in life. For my chefs (who are usually older than me), we are always in a check and balance relationship, where they hold the lifeblood of my kitchen and my flavors and recipes, and I hold their financial resources. More often than not I will also collaborate and I will give chefs who have been with me for a long time the opportunity to take equity, which will also make them more committed. So I have different approaches to different people relationships. For people my own age or younger than me: “Put down your status and take care of them”, and for people older than me: “Checks and balances and cooperation”. I’ve provided the book for this class, another philosophy essay, and my CV in the attachment so you can refer to it for those. Don’t forget the requirement “but it should also synthesize leadership knowledge acquired in this course.”, which is why I provided the textbook.
