Policies that create ethical dilemmas or consequences related to care coordination and the American Heart Association could still be Medicaid/Medicare coverages versus the specific/unique needs of a patient. Access to care could also be an ethical issue for specific patient populations. Costs of care is another ethical dilemma. While the dilemmas may not apply directly to the
AHA, they still impact patients requiring cardiovascular care.
1. Discuss 2-3 governmental policies that impact the care coordination of your selected organization.
Examples could be: Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, Nursing Home Reform Act, CMS, Hospital
Readmission Reduction Act, etc. Provide specific examples of how each policy impacts the care coordination for your audience.
2. Discuss ethical dilemmas or consequences of specific policies as it relates to the care coordination of your target audience. (as noted above)
3. Assess the impact of the Code of Ethics for nurses and coordinating care. What are some social determinants of health, and how do they contribute to health disparities or access to care for the patients of your audience? Examples: Age, race, education level, income, geographical location, etc.
Resources for this assessment could include your selected policies, CMS, AHRQ, Healthy People 2020, American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, etc.

I need speaker notes under each slide, and a SEPARATE word document with all the speaker notes in APA format (headings for different sections and reference page).
