Part A: ABCDE framework (500 words approximately)
You are required to populate the AT3 template with your ABCDE assessment findings and proposed actions/strategies to implement for both patients.
To help guide you with this exercise we have provided you with a Partially completed ABCDE Framework (docx, 16.6KB) for a patient that is experiencing Acute Coronary Syndrome.
You must use the provided template to present your findings.
Within the ABCDE section of the template you must present the information in dot points.
Your actions/strategies must be supported by contemporary and relevant literature.
You are not required to provide a rationale for your proposed actions/strategies.
Part B: Prioritisation of care (600 words approximately)
Based on your ABCDE assessment findings you are required to justify which patient requires prioritisation of care. In your response you must explain the underlying pathophysiology of the condition in relation to the abnormal clinical cues.
*Please note, for Part B you are not required to discuss medical triage. The process of medical triage determines the severity of a patient’s situation while the focus of this task is to discuss the prioritisation of care that should be carried out for patients in due course to save/improve their lives.
Part C: Pharmacological management (400 words approximately)
In Module 4 and Intensive 3, you were introduced to Esther, a 37-year-old female, who had been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. As part of her treatment, she is required to begin chemotherapy.
For Part C of this assessment, you are required to provide patient education to Esther, outlining what chemotherapy is and what to expect when undergoing chemotherapy. In your response explain the common side effects and provide Esther with some strategies as to how to manage such side effects. You must consider the holistic requirements of Esther in relation to beginning chemotherapy. Your assignment must be supported by contemporary and scholarly literature (Australian based if possible)
Your response must refer to the  National Safety and Quality Health Service Standard 4: Medication Safety (https://www.safetyandquality.gov.au/standards/nsqhs-standards/medication-safety-standard) and the RN Standards for Practice (https://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/codes-guidelines-statements/professional-standards/registered-nurse-standards-for-practice.aspx)
PLEASE USE CLINICAL DATA, TEMPLATE AND RUBRIC (High Distinction grade) PROVIDED.
