Paper structure and organization
Each person must write a paper that contains a thesis statement, literature review, statement of the problem, the analysis, references, and your Author’s Note.
This paper is the beginnings or your sociological analysis of your research question. It was necessary to produce an annotated bibliography (which is 10% of your total class grade). Your total paper must be 5 pages and a reference page. You do not need an abstract. [Longer does not mean better.] Typed, spell checked, and checked by a writing tutor.
Key Components of Term Paper
Everyone must incorporate a sociological theoretical perspective as part of the basis of their analysis. This includes one of the following: 1) conflict, 2) structural functionalist, or 3) symbolic interactionist. I simply what to know which theory best helps to address your topic and why.
Magazine articles and Wikipedia are not acceptable resources (i.e. Newsweek, Ebony, Times, The Economist, etc.). Suggested Journals include: Social Forces, American Journal of Sociology, Race and Society, American Sociological Review, Black Scholar. You must use peer reviewed scholarly journal articles.
