Directions
You will take your research essay and construct it in the format of a multimodal presentation. This project will give you the opportunity to practice writing in a different modality and potentially a different audience. How you go about picking your method is up to you. However, consider the options presented in the reading on multimodal writing and make sure it aligns with the expectations of multimodal writing. According to the notes of Cynthia Selfe, “The term multimodal is used by the New London Group to indicate the range of modalities – printed words, still and moving images, sound, speech, and music, color – that authors combine as they design texts” (646). Use this understanding of multimodal (think: multiple modes) to help you construct your final project for the class.
