Overview
In this assignment, you will draft one internal communication and one external communication that describe a problem, its solution, and the solution’s expected impact. This should be based on the problem and solution you are addressing in your project.
Prompt
In Module Four, you learned about the benefits and drawbacks of potential solutions and the legal and ethical considerations of potential solutions. You will now apply this knowledge to communicate the potential impact of your solution for one contributing element of the identified problem to your department and to the other components of the criminal justice system as part of a two-step communication process to internal and external stakeholders. This application of knowledge will help you prepare for the submission of your project in Module Seven.
First, review the Project Guidelines and Rubric. Next, draft two separate emails, one to internal stakeholders and one to external stakeholders. Be sure to include a proper salutation, introduction, body, and conclusion in each email.
Note: You do not have to actually draft or send real emails using your email address. You will draft each email in Microsoft Word.
In a 100- to 200-word email to internal stakeholders, which will be used as the communication platform for your department/office, address the following rubric criteria:
Explain the criminal justice problem to internal stakeholders.
Describe the contributing factor of the problem for which you are offering a solution to internal stakeholders.
Explain the solution to the problem to internal stakeholders.
Explain the potential impact of the solution on internal stakeholders.
In a 100- to 200-word email to external stakeholders, which will be used as the communication platform to the external components of the criminal justice system, address the following rubric criteria:
Explain the criminal justice problem to external stakeholders.
Describe the contributing factor of the problem for which you are offering a solution to external stakeholders.
Explain the solution to the problem to external stakeholders.
Explain the potential impact of the solution on external stakeholders.
What to Submit
This assignment should be submitted as two separate Microsoft Word documents, one containing the communication email to internal stakeholders and the other containing the communication email to external stakeholders. Each document should be 100 to 200 words in length. Any references must be cited in APA style.
