Pick one of the books one the provided excel sheet
You will choose a personal finance book and provide a review of its contents.  Your review should be single-spaced and consist of five sections.  There is not a specific word count or length because each book varies in length, style, and content.  Fully answer and address the questions in each section to earn full credit.
General grading rubric:  5 points for single spacing.  10 points if each section is clearly identified (a section header would be helpful but at least separate each section with a new paragraph).
Section 1- Who is the author(s)?  What gives him or her the credibility to write the book?
It is acceptable to copy some of this information from sources such as the author’s web page or the bookseller’s page, but do not copy all of it for your response.  The primary purpose of this section is to establish credibility.  Mostly in your own words, let your reader know why they should trust this author(s) for valuable information.
Grading rubric: 10 points.  At least one paragraph is required.
Section 2- Who is the target audience?
Not all personal finance books have the same purpose or the same intended audience.  Who is most likely to benefit from this book?  Why?
Grading rubric: 10 points.  At least one paragraph is required.
Section 3- What information is in the book?
Provide an outline or table of contents for the book.  It is acceptable to copy most of this information from sources such as the author’s web page or the bookseller’s page.
Grading rubric: 10 points.  At least one paragraph or chapter listing is required.
Section 4- What are the four most important lessons/takeaways from the book?
Do not simply provide a list.  Each lesson/takeaway should be described in a separate paragraph.
Grading rubric: 40 points (10 points for each lesson/takeaway).
Section 5- What is your recommendation?
On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 meaning “highly recommend,” what is your ranking?  Does the book fulfill its purpose?  Why or why not?
Grading rubric: 5 points.  At least one paragraph is required.
What are the major strengths?
Grading rubric: 5 points.  At least one paragraph is required.
What are the weaknesses?
Grading rubric: 5 points.  At least one paragraph is required.
