TECHNICAL REPORT (2500+/- words, excluding references)
Compose a Technical Report explaining your problem, research, solutions, and recommendations in depth. You are required to create at least one data graphic as well as use other data visualization from other sources in your report.
Headings
Your team’s technical report should include the following major sections:
Abstract (Executive Summary) (summarize the entire report, including recommendations)
Introduction (explain your problem. Here you can use significant portion of your Project 1 but will need to revise it).
Methodology (describe the SPECIFIC kinds of research you conducted and the criteria you developed to “measure” the potential solutions).
Results (explain your team’s research findings of the potential solutions. Here you can again borrow from Project 1 but revise and expand this).
Analysis (describe your analysis of each solution using your criteria).
Discussion of Recommendation (describe your selected solution and how it might be implemented. Who is involved in the implementation? What constraints – design, materials, users, financial, etc. – must be considered?)
References (APA style) all sources must be correctly and fully cited at the end of the report, using APA citation style for the “References” page. In-text citations can use a number with brackets or APA-style parenthetical citations.
Appendices include any survey questions or interview questions, as well as additional visual data not needed in the body of the report.
