Only one person per film. You can NOT choose a film you have already seen. (Remember: at the beginning of the semester, you filled out a survey of movies you have seen – so I will know.)
There is no template for this project —
Imagine you are working for a major distributor. The CEO (aka Chief) is considering buying a “library” of films for further exploitation eg: rerelease on the studio streaming service or to remake it or otherwise exploit in primary or secondary markets. The chief has assigned everyone on the marketing team and all executives to watch one of the films and write up a review.
Approximately 5-6 pages — OTHER MEDIA (eg: PowerPoint, video) is acceptable as long as it is a similar amount of work.
You should add any details or information that you find relevant to the Chief’s consideration.
Use the classwork, textbook, and class notes to help you determine “what an executive might want to know”
Consider: Your recommendation – either pro or con – regarding a remake. Any additional thoughts regarding the purchase of the film for the library? You need to include topics covered in class. You should assume the Chief is savvy and understands basic concepts of marketing (demographics, ROI, budget) – you want to take the conversation to the next level, demonstrating your ability to think through the problem and your expertise in entertainment.
