1. A philosophy of teaching refelects the beliefs, values, and goals for nurse educator role development. Whether your goal is to be an academic nurse educator(NE) or a nursing professional development(NPD) nurse educator, your values and beliefs will support your nurse educator competency development.
2. Develop a personal philosophy of nursing education statement (500 – 750 words/2-3 pages). Ensure that it includes your beliefs about nursing, education, adult learners(students), and is supported by your underlying understanding of educational theory as its foundation. Describe nurse educator(NE) roles, NE role effectiveness and competency development; and the learner roles (nurses in the clinical setting or nursing students in an academic program).
3. Contrast your philosophy with the philosophy and mission/vision of your clinical practicum site.
4. Reflect on the evolving nature of one’s philosophy of teaching and how will it contribute to your nurse educator competency
development.

Title page: APA format, student version, seventh edition. There is a title page, References pages, body of the paper with mjaor headings, and NO abstract. The assignment maximum is 8 pages(excluding the title page and References)

● Develop three SMART(Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) goals for your nursing education practicum.
● Describe how you will share your professional goals and level of nurse educator expertise(novice to expert) with your Nurs 639 preceptor
within the first three weeks of the practicum.
