Now that you have almost finished Composition I, you have learned to read materials and discuss them using rhetoric. Congratulations! To show you how much you have grown in this class, we are going to go back over one of your earlier assignments and compare it to how you write now.
Instructions:
Part One
I want to look through your Rhetorical Analysis Early Draft from several weeks ago and answer the following questions.
Is the language in my paper clear and easy to understand?
Is my paper coherent and properly structured?
Is my paper concise, or is it too wordy?
Is your paper concrete, or are there parts of it that are vague or general?
Is the grammar, mechanics, and usage of words in your paper correct? Is the information in it accurate?
Is the paper complete? Does it answer all questions someone could have about a topic?
Is the paper courteous? Or is the language offensive or biased?
Do not just rephrase the questions as “Yes, the language in this paper is clear and easy to understand.” Instead, give examples from the paper that are either positive examples of the seven Cs of good writing or examples of language you could improve in your paper.
Part Two
Compare your first paper in this class to your Persuasive Research Essay Final Draft. Then, write a short evaluation of how you think your writing has improved in this class. Be honest and evaluative. How could you improve more? What has been the most valuable thing you have learned in this class?
You do not need to use a works cited or in-text citations on this assignment.
The word count for this assignment is 500 words.
Notes:
Be honest in your critique of yourself. What does your paper say about your ideas? What does it say about who you are as a person?
When you save your document, save it as FirstName_LastName_AssignmentName. For example, I would submit it as Brandon_Greer_Final Exam.
Upload this assignment as a pdf only.
