Note: Number of slides is not speciifc as I am not sure how many it would take to complete the task.
Make a 10-15 minute screencast which presents an academic rationale for the multimedia resources and materials you have produced for part A.
Your rationale should include a brief description of the context for which you have written the materials and a full justification for the choices you have made in the design and implementation of your materials. The rationale must show awareness of theories of learner autonomy and multimedia resources and show how you have used these theories in your materials. You should include references to your background reading in the screencast and a bibliography at the end.
A suggested structure for your presentation is as follows:
Brief description of context (type of students/ where/ type of course etc)
Multimedia resources – theories
Multimedia resources – application of theories
Learner autonomy – theories
Learner autonomy – application of theories
Feel free to be creative with the format of your screencast. You can create a PowerPoint Video, Microsoft Sway presentation, an Adobe Express presentation, a YouTube video or any application that will allow the viewer to access the video without clicking. You may, if you wish, embed more than one video into an MS Sway or Adobe Express video. Markers will be looking for originality and creativity, as well as the demonstration of good technical skills.
Your screencast will be too large to post to MyBeckett. You will use Zendto which is a cloud system that allows your tutor to pick up large files. The system can be accessed here: https://zendto.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/ It can also be found in MyBeckett under the “Files” tab.
