You just completed your summative assessment class. You have been appointed to the position of Managerial Accountant in an organization of your choice. This can be an existing business, or one of your creativity. Select a manufacturing product/company/industry etc. that you may use and are comfortable researching, or you may develop one from scratch. Paragraph one is to describe the company.
Discuss if the company is a Job Order Costing or a Process Costing product/business and why.
Your essay should then touch upon 4 of the concepts we discussed throughout the semester. You may choose to concentrate on 2 of the concepts, but you must relate your presentation to 4 of the concepts. One of the 4 topics can be on something you learned in a different class but related to this topic.
Discuss which costs would be fixed costs and which would be variable, and why.
There are no right or wrong points in the essay. This is your creativity and imagination, use it and enjoy it. No one can take away your creativity or imagination from you.
The paper should be minimum 2 pages, 600 words in total, times new roman, 12 pt. There is no specific format. Table of contents or bibliography are not necessary nor are they counted towards the 600 words. Graphs and charts are encouraged, but not necessary. Two or more graphs/charts in total will be counted for 60 words (total, not each one). If you have only one graph or chart this will not be counted towards total word requirement. Essay must be submitted in a Word document.
You will be graded for content, understanding of the subject matter, and presentation.
