Imagine delivering the PowerPoint or the annotated outline to an audience that is new to the subject matter. Cite your sources.

Provide at least two sources (your textbook and at least one other source). Be sure to cite your sources.
Use the information you have gathered to create a well-organized PowerPoint presentation with 7-10 slides or an annotated outline.
Be sure that your PowerPoint or annotated outline delivers all of the relevant information:
Introduction: Introduce the reader/audience to your chosen topic. Include a clear definition or description of the topic followed by a brief but clear explanation of this definition/description. Use your book and at least one additional source.
Explain the importance of your topic and why others should find it interesting. Use at least one source that agrees with your position and another source that does not agree with your position (in other words cite one source that agrees with you and one that does not).
Explain the importance of your topic to an audience that knows little or nothing about it. Provide some reason for the audience to care about this and try to motivate them to learn more on their own.
Conclusion: Provide a summary of your topic. Include one or two sentences to clearly describe the topic and its importance.

Mechanics: Does the project use language that the audience can understand without having taken this course?
Supporting material: Does the project use good and sources? Is there good reason to believe the sources know the topic well and present it fairly?
Central message: Does the project clearly and accurately present the information? Does is take a clear position on the topic that does not change (for example supporting or rejecting some part of the topic)?
