Understanding that caring for diverse clients in a way that maintains their preferences and dignity is essential in nursing. Choose one (1) client from the following list:
· LGBTQ+
· Substance use during pregnancy
· Abortion
· Intimate Partner Violence
· Female Genital Cutting
For your chosen client describe a challenge to seeking healthcare, and a possible health complication the client may face. Then develop a nursing diagnosis (NOT a Risk for) in PES statement supported with evidence for choosing the diagnosis.
PES statement should be formatted as:
P (appropriate nursing problem/diagnosis) related to E (etiology specific for the diagnosis) as evidenced by S (signs and symptoms that support the diagnosis).

Respond to two (2) peers who chose a different population than you. In your response identify one (1) SMART outcome for your peer’s diagnosis and two (2) nursing interventions supported by evidence for the client.
SMART outcomes must be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely.
Example: For a sexually active teenager a SMART outcome may be: The client will identify three methods of contraception by the end of clinic visit today.
For a client who smokes a SMART outcome may be: The client will enroll in a smoking cessation program within a month.
