Spreadsheets, endless data sources, organized businesses, fast hind-sights and more will give any business leader and its organization the capability to analyze in real time, unify their platform and revolutionize their performance at any given time. Although, there are a number of Differences between data analytics and business analytics, they both are useful for organizations when it comes to making confident decisions and driving operational efficiency, helping businesses litigate risks and increasing operational efficiency, visualizing and more. A organization will forever use four types of data which includes
nominal, discrete, ordinal and continuous when using data to analyze and draw conclusions, decisions and more for their next steps. As data analytics are essential in analyzing polls, surveys, public opinions and more. Whereas, this helps to segment a organizations audiences by different demographics groups and analyzes different attitudes, trends and behavior within each of the data sets. Therefore, producing a more specific, actionable and accurate picture of the public’s opinions for different things within age groups, areas, gender and more.
Those with the data collections realm work more closer with the actual data, whereas, business analysis are more so involved in handling the needs of the business along with recommending solutions to correct problems, errors and more. Companies’ tend to use a variety of methods and sources to collect the data in which can be the deal breaker to their successfulness, and this includes things such as Open-ended surveys and questionnaires, One-on one or face-to-face interviews, Focus groups, Direct observation, Experiments, Controlled observations, Longitudinal studies, Polls, Telephone interviews and more.
Looking at Apple and Samsung, there is a number of data collections in which the organizations find essential when it comes to designing, introducing and implementing different products for their company. As with the technology of today changing as often as it does to accommodate the needs of their user’s, this data is the deal breaker for most. As with the Air Pods distributed by Apple and the Galaxy buds by Samsung, the data in which was most important to them include things such as price, the case, installation and pairing, interaction, battery life, speaker as well as the microphone quality, fitting and comfort of the device, down to the colors available. As they needed to ensure that they found ways to improve efficiency, document necessary requirements and meet the needs and desires of their customers. They achieved this by using participant observations, interviews, surveys (online, telephone, in person), focus groups and other categorical data sets obtained by both human and machine.
Data indicates that many felt that the price of the Air pods ($160) as opposed to the price for the Galaxy buds ($130) did not matter because they got better sound, more automation when it came the the commands, longer battery life, noise cancellation safety measures and more. Whereas, they were easier to pair and install. Although, they both worked with the Apple products, there were limitations when using the device from Samsung on the Apple brand products. In conclusion, the data revealed they felt that paying an extra $30 was worth getting the full quality of the AirPods.
