April 9, 2024

Lee Ann was ecstatic to not be sentenced to jail time because she knew that going to jail would have a major negative impact on her life.
She made an honest effort to do better with her drinking and attended the meetings that the court required.
However, after a few weeks, she was unable to resist going out with her friends.
At the end of the night, she left the bar and proceeded to her car. Without a second thought, she put her key in the ignition.
Lee Ann then remembered that she needed to use a breathalyzer to be able to turn on her car. Thinking that she was probably okay, she blew into the device.
The number that appeared was .09 and her vehicle was disabled. The police were notified and soon an officer arrived and arrested her.
Lee Ann was held in jail and later brought before the same judge who had sentenced her previously.
Even though the judge did not want to put her in jail, he felt that he did not have a choice. She received a sentence of one week in jail.
Lee Ann was moved to a county jail facility and processed to serve her sentence. She settled in for an uncomfortable first of seven nights and contemplated the decision she had made to try and drive after drinking too much.
Life in prison is regimented and without the freedoms that we enjoy in our lives. However, it is not the same for every inmate. Some have jobs, some take up hobbies, and some complete specific requirements as mandated by the judge as part of their sentence.
For this assignment, you will create a schedule for a week in prison for Lee Ann. Begin by searching online for examples of prison life. You can find many firsthand videos and blogs on the Internet.
Be sure to cite all of your sources in your submission.
Start your schedule on Monday and proceed through the weekend, ending on Sunday. Be detailed about what Lee Ann will do each hour of each day. Provide a brief description (one sentence) for each item (skip the descriptions for activities like meals and sleeping).
You will have to make some assumptions about some of what Lee Ann will likely do while serving her sentence but you should be able to get a good idea of what is plausible based on your research into prison life. Consider if there are programs that Lee Ann may be able to take part in while in prison that could help her be rehabilitated and potentially qualify for an early release.
