Learning Contract: Part One
In a few paragraphs, assess your ability to 1) perform focused and comprehensive assessments, 2) communicate with patients and healthcare team members, 3) prioritize care, 4) delegate nursing tasks, and 5) make safe and accurate clinical decisions using critical thinking. In your reflection, describe your level of independence and competency with performing each of the 5 nursing behaviors.
This part of the assignment must be a minimum of one page, typed in 12-point font (Calibri or Arial) and double spaced. Your reflective self-assessment should not exceed two pages.
Learning Contract: Part Two
Develop a total of four goals to be achieved during the practicum and simulation experiences. Goals should incorporate information from the self-assessment completed in Part One. The four goals should include:
Two practicum goals based on clinical judgment and behaviors that support the delivery of quality healthcare.
Two simulation goals based on communication and collaboration with the healthcare team to enhance patient and family-centered decision-making.
All goals should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound). Please see the “Help with Writing Goals” document to support the development of your goals. Use the template table example from the syllabus, In the table, list the SMARTgoal, identify the type of goal (cognitive, psychomotor, affective), the rationale for selecting this goal, and the actions and behaviors that will assist you in achieving the goal.
The format for the Learning Contract assignment is APA. Include a title page, level 1 and 2 headings, page numbers, and a table for the goals.
