The Final Exam: Key Terms has no time limit, but only 1 Word or PDF document submission will be accepted. Submissions that are not Word or PDF documents will result in a “0” score on the Final Exam: Key Terms portion.
Students have 3 Key Term Options for credit.
Each Key Term Option has 2 choices. Students must choose 1 of the 2 choices to write a well written paragraph that identifies and explains the term.
Each Key Term should have at least 150 words.
Each key term is worth 20 points, with all 3 terms totaling 60 points.
To adequately identify a Key Term students must include the answers to the following questions:
Who is the person(s) involved with the term?
When did the term take place? (Decade is fine. When relevant, the term may need a range of decades.)
Where did the term take place?
What did the person do? or What is the the concept or event?
Why is the term significant or important?
When explaining the significance or importance, consider what were the historical results of the term or what did the actions of the person lead to.

The Final Exam is closed AI, internet, books, and notes.
The document submission will be reviewed by the Turnitin plagiarism application within Canvas.
Upon submitting the Final Exam: Key Terms document, a similarity score will be viewable in the gradebook. Students can find it by clicking on the colored flag next to grade.
The similarity score will assist the professor in determining if a student has plagiarized or cheated on the exam.
Students caught cheating or plagiarizing on the exam will earn a “0” score on the Final Exam: Key Terms portion.
