Through hearing how others use language, and using it themselves, students work together, describe their surroundings, and make sense of their own and each other’s experiences. Integrating listening and speaking skills with reading and writing instruction reemphasizes the importance of language and literacy in everyday life.
For this assignment, use the “COE Lesson Plan Template” to create a lesson plan for the students in the “Class Profile” that focuses on listening and speaking, and is based on the literature you previously selected.

Engaging instructional strategies and activities in listening and speaking
Assessment aligned to learning objectives that is engaging for students and provides meaningful feedback

I like your ways to assess grammar in your MM of Expression. Grows: You do not have SMART objectives. Your objective are not clear and not measurable. When you use the term “grammar,” that could be a million different concepts. A better objective might be: “Students will write a paragraph giving their opinion of the story using capitalize letters for each sentence as well as underline 5 nouns.” That is an objective that incorporates writing (paragraph/sentences/responding to the story) and grammar. Please reach out to me prior to the next lesson plan and run your objectives by me so we can discuss in the private forum. You don’t teach students anything about writing. You have them write “simple sentences” but what did you teach them about how to do this? Please don’t make assumptions! ● In your MM of Engagement, you have students practice concepts you never taught in this lesson (unfair): By selecting the square, the learners will look at nouns, parallel structure, noun variety, and comma errors. If this is from a prior lesson, then you must review! ● In MM of Expression, you measure students’ knowledge of nouns well. But you don’t have any way to specifically measure their writing: ● I will ask the learners to identify the nouns with their groups and practice writing on their notebooks. I will let the learners share what they know about the nouns What does this mean to practice writing on their notebooks (this is not grammatically correct either). I hope these comments help.
