IV. Fourth Deliverable
1. Read the remainder of the book.
2. Using the work created in steps 1-3, the
goal is to write a paper prototyping a life for
yourself, with a focus on the near term (3
to 5 years).
3. You should have two prototype
conversations (though more are better of course if you desire) and summarize
them: 250 words each in an Appendix. Prototype conversations are described in
Chapter 6. These required conversations should NOT be 1) your parents or 2)
members of your cohort. (That said, if you are doing more than two, feel free
to have prototype conversations with your parents or cohort members. You may
include these as additional conversations for purposes of the
project.)- (Make these up)
4. You should have a brainstorm session with
a group of at least 3 other people (can be
family or friends or, ideally, your group
members in this class), with pens and sticky notes. Pictures of the brainstorms
should be submitted in an Appendix. Step-by-step instructions for managing your
brainstorm are detailed in Chapter 6.- (I will attach a picture of the brainstorm with my peers)
5. Present your three Odyssey plans to your
brainstorm team. Your brainstorm team should decide on one of the ideas to be
prototyped by you and then further brainstorm ways to do the prototyping. Refer
back to Chapter 6 as necessary so you know how to guide this process. (the life decided was Life 1, this will also be attached)
6. Finally, you should write a 3-5 page
paper (excluding the Appendix), outlining…..
a. which life you would like to explore and
how you will prototype it- (Explore life 1)
b. what you learned from doing these
exercises during the semester – (Make these up)
c. what (if anything) new you realized about
yourself along the way (self-reflection)
Criteria for grading
deliverable #4:
Grading based on adherence to instructions,
thought, effort, and clarity of work, rather than
content. Please use headings and page
numbers, edit for grammar, etc. Did you have at least two prototype
conversations and summarize them in detail? Did you engage with the exercise in
a meaningful way? Did you conduct your brainstorm? Did you appear to leverage
your brainstorm? Does the paper demonstrate depth of thought? (60 points)
Image attached is the brainstorm with the peers, (please let me know if you have any questions)
