It should be 1250-1750 words in length.
It should develop a final version of a paper based on the topic, bibliographies, and thesis that you
worked out in the various stages of Project 3.
The major focus of the paper must be at least one primary source that falls within the scope of the course and one work of peer-reviewed philosophical scholarship substantially devoted to that work or its author. The scope of the course is Classical Native American Philosophy, Modern European Philosophy, and Africana Philosophy.
o You may put this material in conversation with other primary and secondary materials, but there should be at least this much anchor material within the scope of the course and that material should be one of the main foci of your research and analysis.
• It should have a clear structure, including:
o An introduction that explains the material you will be discussing, the topic, aim, or question you will pose to that material and its motivation and stakes, your proposed resolution to that question, and the basic argument you will make to support that resolution.
o A presentation, with appropriate textual support, of that develops the details of the background, the question, the argument, and the evidence detailed in the introduction above.
o A conclusion that explores the consequences that follow from the work you have done. These may be further implications of the now established resolution to your question, or they may be further questions that arise in light of that resolution, or both. A project with clearly articulated stakes will have something substantial to say in this section.
