**A detailed overview of the workplace issue**
Champion Consulting Group is a company that supplies vacuum cleaners, parts and cleaning solutions. The warehouse pick and pack department is not equipped with air conditioning but has industrial fans hanging from the ceiling on the production floor. There have been many complaints that the industrial fans only circulate the heat around and do not make it any cooler in the warehouse. Employees have asked the floor Supervisor, Floyd, if the rule of “NO FOOD OR DRINKS ON THE PRODUCTION FLOOR” be modified so that they are able to take a water bottle to their stations. Floyd informed all employees that he has submitted their request for review and will get back to them with an answer.

Willie works at Champion Consulting Group. He was finishing up his job of unloading the trailer into the warehouse. After, completing his task of unloading the trailer, he suddenly, passed out and had a seizure. Other employees rushed to assist Willie so that he would not hit his head on the concrete production floor. They immediately called the floor Supervisor, Floyd, for help. Floyd ordered the employees to help him get Willie off the production floor as it was a dangerous place for him to be. Willie was taken to the break room. The manager asked an employee to watch over Willie and let him know when he has gotten better. The employee was uncomfortable with accepting that task and called 911. The EMTs arrived at the break room and rushed Willie to the hospital. He was diagnosed with heat exhaustion and dehydration. Willie was hospitalized for 3 days.
