Psychological Disorders Discussion
Reflect on the following statistics from 2019:
In the last 12 months, 75% of college students felt overwhelmed and exhausted by everything they had to do.
In the last 12 months, 55% of college students felt very lonely.
In the last 12 months, 45% of college students felt hopeless.
Approximately 60% of college students show signs and symptoms of depression and/or anxiety.
Go digging. Why is this happening? This is much higher than the national average (18% anxiety and 8% depression).
Is there something unique about the age range of a traditional college student? Is there something else going on? Why do you think the rates are so high? What do you think could help lower the rates?
Please check the spelling and grammar my professor is very anal about that
