For this Performance Task Assessment, you will complete an Organizational Policies Report in which you will critique a selected policy to address healthcare issues/stressors, including the policy’s strengths and challenges in promoting ethical practices.

Before submitting your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This is the same rubric the assessor will use to evaluate your submission, and it provides detailed criteria describing how to achieve or master the Competency. Many students find that understanding the requirements of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help them direct their focus and use their time most productively.
Assessment: Organizational Policies Report
Select a healthcare issue/stressor relevant to your own organization. Identify and review two evidence-based, scholarly resources that focus on proposed policies/practices to apply to this healthcare issue/stressor. With your healthcare issue/stressor and associated resources in mind, address the following:
- Describe at least two competing organizational needs surrounding your selected healthcare issue/stressor. * NOTE: The response must synthesize and integrate at least two outside resources and two competency-specific resources that fully support the responses provided.
- Describe a relevant policy or practice in your organization that may influence your selected healthcare issue/stressor.
- Critique the policy for ethical considerations and explain the policy’s strengths and challenges in promoting ethics.
- Recommend one or more policy or practice changes designed to balance the competing needs of resources, workers, and patients while addressing any ethical shortcomings of the existing policies. Be specific and provide examples.
- Cite evidence that informs the healthcare issue/stressor and/or the policies and provide two scholarly resources in support of your policy or practice recommendations.
