Working with the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator (https://en-roads.climateinteractive.org/scenario.html) to an external site., create a scenario that can mitigate climate change to the internationally agreed target of below 1.5°C by 2100. View this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Muh-eoPd3g&ab_channel=ClimateInteractive) to an external site. (19:00, transcrip attached.) to review how to use En-ROADS.
Then, write a 2-page response that includes the following:
Select “Share Your Scenario” in the upper right-hand corner of En-ROADS, then choose “Copy Scenario Link.” Paste the link at the top of your response.
Your Plan: What are the top 3–5 most important policies in your strategy? For example, what are the most important sliders that you moved? Please provide a general narrative account here instead of listing specific numbers, and explain why you consider these to be critical E issues.
Role of Business: How does your plan relate to the business sector, if at all?
Winners/Losers: Who would be the biggest winners and losers globally in your proposed future? In answering this question, try to use the ethical language we have covered in this class.
Surprises: What surprised you about this exercise? What did you learn?
Formatting
Style: Your paper should be written in narrative form, using complete sentences and paragraphs.
Length: Your response should be approximately 2 pages. Points will be deducted for papers that exceed the specified length (see rubric below for more details).
APA Formatting: Adhere to the Style Guide for headers, spacing (double-spaced), and citations.
