Paragraphs: After watching the video, write three paragraphs as directed below in essay style in a Word document. Each of the three paragraphs should contain 6-8 sentences each.
Works Cited: Be sure to include a Works Cited area at the end of the essay.

REQUIRED PARAGRAPHS
Ritual Opposition: In this paragraph, first state how Tannen defines “ritual opposition.” Second, state two examples Tannen gives to illustrate misunderstandings that arise when conversational “rituals of opposition” are not shared. Finally, discuss an example in your own life where you have engaged in conversational “rituals of opposition.”
Troubles Talk: In this paragraph, first state how Tannen defines ‘troubles talk.” Second, explain how women use “troubles talk.” Third, discuss why men tend not to engage in “troubles talk.” Finally, provide either an example of how you engage in “troubles talk” or why you prefer to avoid engaging in “troubles talk.”
Conversational Styles: In this paragraph, first explain what Tannen means when she claims that understanding conversational style differences can remove the “burden of right and wrong.” Second, discuss why you agree or disagree with Tannen by providing an example from your own life and experiences.
