Instructions
For this assignment, you will submit a two to three-page essay. Go to this Humans of New York site and explore the “Series” featured under the home page “Series” link. Select “one” article/story explicitly focused on health, medicine, or sexuality.
1) Start with a brief introduction about the topic (health, medicine, or sexuality)
NOTE: Because this is implied, a subheading for the introduction is not required.
2 ) Then, summarize the “one” article/story you chose that is specifically focused on health, medicine, or sexuality. You will explain how the one article/story relates to the sociological issue/problem in health, medicine, or sexuality. This should not be written as an opinion paper, or in the first person.
3) Next, you will apply three key sociological theories (learned from the course material) to the story. This also should not be written as an opinion or in the first person.
4) Format your paper using proper APA. You should start with an introduction and end with a brief conclusion. Do not submit more than three pages of content; the cover and reference pages do not count.
You should have two subheadings: one that reads Summary or Summary of the Story and one that reads Social Theories.
Don’t forget to cite the Series article and the textbook in APA format. These are the ONLY two sources you should use for this Assignment.
General requirements:
Submissions should be typed, double-spaced, 1″ margins, in Times New Roman 12 pt font, and saved as .doc, .docx, .pdf.
Use APA format for citations and references.
