Mastery Assessment 5: Presentation
Students will demonstrate their knowledge and mastery of the Learning Objectives through application in the Mastery Assessment.
The student will create a presentation highlighting something or someone they learned about in the module. The presentation may be a slideshow or a video.
Note: Students will not perform a presentation. The work will be submitted through Canvas to an audience of one, the course instructor.

2 Topic Introduction Slides:
Introduce the topic to your audience. Tell them what it is, why it is important, what your objective is, and why it interests you. Explain why it is useful to them
9-14: Main Body slides
This is where you tell the story of your topic with words, images, and sound. Make sure the images/video clips actually apply to your topic. (A picture from the US Civil War of the 1860s isn’t relevant to the First Gulf War of 1991).
12-15 non-repeating images or graphics must be used. They must be large enough to be seen but not distorted. Where possible correctly identify the image or what is shown in the image. Audio recordings other than yours should be identified.
Identify and explain any ethical dilemmas related to your topic and how those dilemmas were addressed and resolved at the time.
Text use does not block or overwhelm images/graphics.
1 Conclusion/Call-to-Action Slide
Identify your beliefs on this topic and explain why your audience should share and support those beliefs through action. And tell them what action can be taken.

Just saying, “Do a Google search” is not enough. Tell the audience what you did to locate and identify good sources.

Bring your story to an end. Did everyone live happily ever after or is it more complicated? Were the problems and dilemmas resolved forever or do they arise in our society?

This is a list of the sources you used to learn about your topic. You should have 3-5 sources with full CSM citations. At least one must be a primary or secondary source.
Images: 15-20 must be identified and without distortion.
