Be the teacher…
You will be assigned an age-group based on where you live. – Queens, ages 11-12
You will create original Piagetian-type tasks appropriate for the age group. For example, if the grade you are assigned will consist of children who are making the transition into concrete operational thought, they might expand upon Piaget’s conservation of length task (which originally used sticks), by identifying a different type of material (e.g., a garden hose is the same length regardless of being stretched out or coiled). For formal operations, students might consider evaluating word puzzles or solving mystery vignettes. They can then administer these tasks to one or more K-12 students.
Students’ tasks might involve conservation of number, substance, length, distance, area, volume, height, or weight.

which of Piaget’s stages will the children be in (children might be between stages)
What is expected of children at that stage of development
What kind of developmentally appropriate activity might you assign children of that age. describe it in detail. It could be a game, toy, assignment, etc.
How do you know this is an appropriate assignment for students that age and in that stage of development?
What do you expect the children to learn or accomplish by doing this activity?
