Infograph Assignment on Chosen Nursing-Sensitive Indicator (NSI): Choose one of

April 25, 2024

Infograph Assignment on Chosen Nursing-Sensitive Indicator (NSI):
Choose one of the provided Nursing-Sensitive Indicators (NSI) from Chapter 16 in your textbook (also found in the list below). Create an infographic tool based on the NSI you choose. This assignment will be due earlier this week because of the end of term. Please plan ahead to meet end dates.
Nursing-Sensitive Indicators (NSI):
Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTIs)
Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSIs)
Clostridium Difficile (C-diff)
Nurse Turnover Rates
Patient Experience
Patient Falls
Patient Falls with Injury
Pressure Injury Incidence and Prevalence
Restraint Prevalence
RN Degrees and Certifications
Ventilator-associated Event (VAE)
Research what an infographic tool is. Please find a free version to complete this week’s assignment. Remember your audience is the nursing staff on your unit (or your imaginary unit). Speak to education of registered nurses and interdisciplinary staff.
Items that must be included in the Infographic Tool:
Explain your chosen NSI.
Provide relevant data and statistics.
Explain steps on how to prevent (provide staff education).
Include ways to educate patients.
Explain how decreasing this problem will also affect morbidity and mortality rates and contribute to person-centered nursing care and a culture of safety.
Include any other pertinent information related to your chosen NSI. Consider how you can help prevent these significant issues through staff education, primarily concentrating on new and mentoring nurses.
Include your top two takeaways from your signature assignment (this can be what you learned or instructor feedback). Evaluate the professional nursing role in the delivery of safe and quality care. Please put this at the end of your infographic tool before your references.
Include helpful scholarly resources (must have at least two, and one can be your textbook).
Pretend this infographic tool will be displayed in the nurses’ lounge and/or other common areas where nurses in your organization would see it. Your organization might actually want to use it!
Please use at least two scholarly references on your infographic tool. Please use color and design to make your infographic tool engaging and enjoyable to read (avoid paragraphs and use short, concise, and easy-to-read points).
Please search for free infographic tools. A few I have come across are Canva, PicMonkey, and PowerPoint. Just remember to make this an eye-catching design on one “poster” like platform. Use color, design, and pictures. Have fun and be creative!
