Individual standards and principles are important in our daily living. They are formed from a certain worldview. This paper will help to identify the worldview, standards, and principles you operate under, along with how you use them as a leader.
Because everyone is in relationship, standards impact relationships with others in the business environment. Business relationships are strengthened through important principles of diligence and hard work. The book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible contains other perspectives on business ethics and how workers can use them to bring continuity to the business environment.
For this assignment, prepare a three-page response paper in which you examine personal ethics styles and how they relate to the work environment. Be sure to include the following in your paper:
• Five (5) principles for which you stand and where those standards come from.
• An explanation of why personal values are important in business.
• A definition of “shadow leadership” and explanation of how it should impact the work environment. Also discuss in what environments you are a shadow leader.
• An explanation of the concept of “relationship of covenant” and how it should be used in business ethics. (Draw from key perspectives found in the book of Ecclesiastes and be sure to cite and reference it in your paper.)
• An explanation of how the concepts of diligence and hard work are applied to the covenant.
Your paper must be written in APA format, including a title page and references section. The three-page requirement does not include the title page and references section. You must support your ideas with references to the course texts and at least two (2) scriptural references. Also, make sure your citations and references are in APA format.
